Aspa Bruk is a specialty pulp mill, which produces bleached and unbleached sulphate pulp. Pulp capacity is 200,000 tons.
Before the installation of an Opcon Powerbox ORC, all of the mill’s process water passed through a sedimentation basin before reaching the recipient lake Vättern.
After the installation, some of the waste heat water from the mill first goes to the Opcon Powerbox – the power plant – where it is transformed to new and emission-free electric power, at a competitive kWh price. Furthermore, Opcon Powerbox preheats the mill’s process water which is a considerable bonus.
Opcon Powerbox also cools the waste water used in power production before it is finally diverted into treatment.
